Men’s Steeplechase: Ulboc 9th

First time Asiad participant Christopher Ulboc finished 9th and last in the 3,000m steeplechase at the 2014 Asian Games.  Ulboc registered a 9:21.63, far off from his 9:01 set in the 2013 SEA Games where we won the gold medal.  Ulboc towed the whole field during the first 500m of the race until the world class field chomp his lead and gradually pulled away.

Defending champion Tareq Taher of Bahrain and Qatari Abubaker Kamal methodically pulled away from the pack.  The former settled for the silver while the latter won comfortably in 8:28.72.
