PNG Day 3 Results

UAAP standout Edgar Bardel (Run for change) ruled the men’s 20k walk with a relaxed time of 2:19:17.

National mainstay Henry Dagmil (Laguna) toyed with the filed and won his pet event, the long jump, with a mark of 7.71m.  Co nationals Bingno Marayag and Joebert Delicano (both of PAF-Hypersports)  settled for 2nd and 3rd with marks of 7.37m and 7.29m respectively.

3 time SEA Games gold medalist Danilo Fresnido (Laguna) did enough to beat his closest competitor at the Mens Javelin throw.  Fresnido threw 64.47m, while Gutl Pido (PAF-Hypersports) settled for silver with a mark of 63.03m.

Junrey Bano rued the men’s 400m hurdles with a fast 52.02s.  Josie Malacad of Laguna won the women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.36, beating Keizel Pedrina’s 1:03.78 (Hypersports).

Marestella Torres (Laguna) and Katherine Santos (Baguio City) went 1-2 in the women’s long jump as expected. They submitted jumps of 6.58m and 6.19m respectively.

Krizia Leah Apelar (Hypersports) ruled the women’s 200m with a time of 25.04s.

Pedrina settles for silver in the women’s 400m hurdles

Three men went sub 22 in the men’s 200m with Archand Christian Bagsit (Laguna), Edgardo Alejan (Laguna) and Isidro del Prado Jr (Run for change) went 21.67s, 21.94s and 21.99s respectively.  Bagsit now has a rare double of 200m-400m title.

Mervin Guarte completed the middle distance double by winning the men’s 1500m with a time of 4:01.77, just enough to beat the field.
