Tuliao steals the season lead in the Hurdles with 14.74

Robin Darwin Tuliao an ex-member of the Philippine national training pool who now studying in Taipei. An ex-UAAP athlete from University of Santo Tomas.He has stolen the season lead in the mens 110m Hurdles with a time of 14.74et +0.7 m/s . The mark is the 2nd fastest time ever by a Filipino Male after the national record set by Patrick Unso 14.58et at the sea games. He also eclipsed the old long standing record of Alonzo Jardin of 14.75et set in 1997.  Patrick Unso mark of 14.78et at the UAAP was the lead mark for most of this year so far.

The 24 year old hurdler went into the National Intercollege University Games with a best time of 14.97 where he finished 7th in the final in Thailand National Open last year. He set a new personal best in the heats with a mark of 14.94. And then went onto better that in a time of 14.74 which has cataputed him from #7 to #2 on the all time ranking list. For Tuliao who at the start of the season was more keen to stick it out in Taipei and run those meets the chance of regaining the national title he won in 2009 is now a possibility.
